MONDAY, SEPT. 16
Class starter: Copy definition of “personal narrative” from board.
Look through journal to find ideas for writing a personal narrative.
Students will be given a model of a personal narrative.
Students will pre-write for a personal narrative. Noun Notes handed back with
Friday’s practice; Noun Notes added distributed to students;
Practice Packet due Thursday

TUESDAY, SEPT. 17
Class starter: Reread model of a personal narrative. Reflect on organization.
Students will continue to pre-write for a personal narrative.
Students will begin drafting a personal narrative.
WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 18
Class starter: Continue to work on personal narrative.
Students will edit writing.
Students will publish writing (final copy).
THURSDAY, SEPT. 19
Class starter: Finish final copy of writing. Noun packet due.
Recall/review the elements of “plot” Noun Review Due
Pre-read “The Wise Old Woman; identify as folktale
Read/discuss “The Wise Old Woman”
Students will answer comprehension/vocabulary questions.
FRIDAY, SEPT. 20
Class Starter: Skim/scan/review “The Wise Old Woman”
Students will collaborate in groups to create a plot line.
